This new campaign from Mercedes-Benz offers an entirely new look and type of ad for several different mediums, including print, online and television ads. The “sustainability” campaign strives to showcase the wide selection of luxury vehicles that drivers find at their nearest Benz Dealer.
The new marketing campaign focuses on what the company calls “TrueBlueSolutions.” In addition to all other innovations that the Mercedes luxury vehicles are known for, engineers have created the BLUETEC emission treatment system. This, according to the Executive Vice President of Mercedes-Benz Cars, is “the world’s cleanest diesel engine.”
When viewing the new “sustainability” ads, consumers notice the color blue dominating the visual. This is the official color of Mercedes-Benz, but it also serve as a symbol for clean air in the new ads. This references the luxury car company’s new technology that reduces exhaust emitted by diesel engines.
This technology was released in late 2006. Mercedes continues to be the only car company currently offering the technology. In 2008, they have plans to release three more models equipped with this environmentally-friendly option, making it even more widespread worldwide in the near future.
